Through her grandmother’s spanish-inspired recipes, Ms. Zaldarriaga established Spanggo Foods Cafe and Pasalubong Center. She blended Spanish recipes with Filipino tastes to better capture the local food plate.
The company, being a member of the Capiz Integrated Food Producers Association (CIFPA), had the opportunity to attend seminars and trainings provided by DOST in partnership with different government agencies. Technology upgrading was made possible through DOST’s assistance which it availed in 2012 and 2015.
True to her word of capturing more market, the firm has been aggressive in joining trade fairs and exhibits where it has reached presence in Iloilo, Cebu and even Metro Manila. New outlets were recently opened inside the Roxas City Domestic Airport, Robinsons Roxas and Boracay Island. It is now recognized as producer of Spanish-inspired processed meat and best-tasting pie in Roxas City and gaining popularity in the area.
